Tapas and Paella

I'm gonna see hamster today... we're going to this spanish restaurant that I've never tried before. I seriously can't wait (It's in a half hour, lol). I'm remembering Barcelona, and the amazing food I ate there. It's much different than Marbella. I liked it more, just wish there were more spanish people there. We went in July or August, and I guess most spanish people are probably vacationing elsewhere at that time. Still, the food was amazing, the hotel was one of the best I've seen, and the museums were exciting. I went to Picasso's museum, and saw his amazing work.

Ok, gotta go now... gonna be late. I'M SO HUNGRY!!!

UPDATE: The dinner was cancelled :( Ate chinese instead... Lol, what a turn of events.

Back to School

So, the first week has passed, and so far none of my classes have given it's students a break. Assignments are piling up again.

The good thing though, is that I'm not procrastinating this time, lol. I'm actually done with one assignment, gave another assignment a serious amount of thought, and after I'm done with it, I'll start my third assignment. I also have a calculus quiz on Thursday. I think I'll have everything done, and done well by the time everything is due.

My studio professor is strict and is known to give more work than is assigned for the rest of the studio students, and my old studio professor (who I love, but gave me a B) told him that I need to be pressured to work efficiently... which means, holy crap! I'm gonna be screwed! Now I really need to show him that I'm up for it.

Around 15 people already dropped out of the program, and they're expecting another 15 to drop out by next semester. I hope I'm not one of them! Correction: I won't be one of them! Wow, that feels much better, makes me wanna listen to Fighter by Christina Aguilara, lol.

Btw... funny song, I Can Get Sexual Too by Say Anything.

Reflecting

Here I am again, in the same comfy chair, in the same lounge of the same airport, where I typed the post before my last one. Again, I sit her and reflect on my life. Although I haven't worked on every relationship I wanted to work on (because I wasn't given the chance) I believe I made my relationship with my family much better. I'm closer to three of my cousins. I've become one of my little sister's best friends. I got to see my grandmother almost daily, and I finally saw my distant friend. I'm proud of myself. In two weeks, I have done a lot of good towards my friendships with the people close to me.

Unfortunately, I haven't ended the friendship I wanted to end. The person I want to end my friendship with is actually traveling on the same flights to the states as I am, but I seriously don't feel like talking. The situation is very awkward. I got a wave, returned it, and then we spent the rest of the flight trying to avoid each other. I'm not really looking forward to spending another 8 hours on the plane with him. I think I need to explain the situation, but I'm not in the mood really. Sorry, I'll post the story when I feel like it, hopefully soon.

Change of Plans

I would like to say Happy New Year to you all first. Although 2008 for me, was much better than 2007, I wish 2009 will be even better. I've realized that I should work on the relationships with the people in my life. That is definitely my most important new years resolution. I wish you all happiness, good health, fortune and friends.

I finally decided that staying in the city, while everyone was away wasn't the smartest decision, Lol. I miss my family and friends too much. There are 14 people that I really want to hug. So I'm coming back to do so. I'm actually in the Airport, waiting for my flight. Can't wait to see all the people I love!

My grandmother is now officially an old lady. She used to always stand tall, and walk with such grace, but I've heard that she has been experiencing back pain recently, and she was in the hospital for a week a few months ago, and since then the whole family has been visiting almost daily to keep her company. My grandmother is one of my favorite people. I have a lot of respect and love for her. (I'm also one of her favorites, lol). I also want to see, and get to better know my cousins that I haven't seen in a while.

This summer, I've also got to know my brother and sister a little better. I miss them so much. Especially my baby sister (I really don't know why I call her that, she's 14, and quite mature for her age). I also miss my parents like crazy! I can't wait to shower them with hugs and kisses (until they start pushing me off them, lol).

There are also some friendships that I need to work on, and even though I'm staying in Kuwait for less than two weeks, I'll have to make the best of my time. I also want to officially end the friendships that I really don't see going anywhere, and the one's that are causing me more grief than happiness. Isn't it sad, when you feel like the friends you had since God know when, are not what they turned out to be? Some things have got to change though.

Happy New Year Bloggers!

P.S. This song really gets to me. Enjoy!
